A note from Mary Hogan, National President of the LAOH:
Dear Friends;
You cordially invited to join us on Monday June 29, 2015 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary
of the Death of Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa; there will be a Memorial Mass
at St. Peter’s Church on Staten Island, NY.
Many Irish and Irish American organizations [LAOH, AOH, Irish Arts
Center, Cork Assn,
Irish Consulate, Ireland’s Minister} are working together to see
that the historic events and people leading up to the 100th Anniversary of the Easter Rising are not
forgotten. The Irish patriot, Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa lived his life for the cause of Ireland’s Freedom; after
being banished from his own country he lived the rest of his life in the United States but he never stopped
fighting for Ireland’s freedom. Let us all come together as the sons and daughters of Ireland to remember him.
